Annual Awards 2019 Nominations

The Annual Awards recognise outstanding contribution made by students to life on and off campus. This year there are ten award categories. You can nominate in each of them or only one.

You may think the same student or group should be nominated in different categories. This is fine and you can even use the same text if you think it makes the case.

Deadline for nominations is 2nd May 12pm

All nominated students and committees will be invited to attend the Annual Awards on the 10th May

Categories

The ten categories are

10.  Lifetime Achievement Award - nominate any student involved in NSU who deserves recognition for the volunteering they have done over the course of their study.

I only want to nominate in one category.

No problem. Once you’ve submitted your nomination, just click ‘start again’ and you will be able to return to the start of the survey to complete any additional nominations.

How do I make sure my nomination wins?

The award winners are decided by an panel of Union and University staff, based on the number of nominations but  more importantly the quality of what you write. Please be as specific as you can, with examples of how that student or group has made a change in your life or those of others. More words = better, just saying 'they are great' won't do it.

How does this work with the Activities and Education Awards

These awards happen before the Annual Awards. The Annual Awards panel also look at nominations for those two awards and can decide to put a nomination forward into the Annual Awards, whether it won an award or otherwise in the other two.  However for the best chance you should do a submission in both nomination forms.

So even if your nomination doesn't win at the Activities or Education Awards, they may win at the Annual Awards.

Many thanks
