Every year NSU makes changes from the feedback that you give us. We love hearing your feedback and we always try and act on what you say, so that we can make a difference to your life here at Northumbria and help enhance your university experience.
This year the Sabb Team have been working hard to make sure that your views are turned into a reality, here are just some of things we’ve got for you:
You said you wanted a better choice of food at Claude Gibb, so that’s what we got you.
You said you wanted a sexual health service on campus, your Vice President Welfare and Equality achieved this and there are now sexual health drop in sessions and you can get FREE condoms here too. Better yet we’ve set up a student led SWAG team to raise sexual health awareness around campus.
You said that you wanted to be able to Skype your family when you’re far away from home, now we’ve got Skype functionality on all NSU computers for you to enjoy.
You explained that you would like a massage service to help you when you’re stressed with exams and coursework deadlines, so we took this on board and now offer a frequent massage service at both City and Coach Lane campus.
You said that you wanted Coach Lane Campus to be more accessible for disabled students, so that’s what we’ve done.
You said you couldn’t afford food on Campus... your Sabbatical team lobbied the university to lower their prices.
You’ve continually said that you want to have a student letting agency on campus and we brought you NU:LETS – the only official and approved student letting agency at Northumbria and it’s right here in your SU building.
You said you wanted access to a microwave in NSU, we’ve now got a microwave in Escape for you to heat up your food when you get a little bit peckish.
You said that you were little bit thirsty around campus with no free water fountains around about, so with that in mind we spoke to the University and there are now free water fountains dotted around campus.
