LET (Learning English Together) is a student-led community project that facilitates language learning, knowledge sharing and intercultural dialogue.
Our aim is to help people who came to Newcastle from different parts of the world to seek asylum to improve their English (and Geordie) in a safe and relaxed environment.
We are currently looking for new VOLUNTEERS to help us facilitate language activities. We teach in unconventional ways via discussions and games where everyone can contribute.
We meet every Thursday from 5.30-7.30pm at Northumbria University.
Come along if you want to learn about different cultures, meet new people and help them to integrate!
If you would like to become a volunteer, feel free to contact Kahina: firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is a volunteering group that supports people from the local community to improve their English. University students come as teaching volunteers, not as learners.
