Freshers' Team Recruitment

Whilst no one really knows what the world will look like come September we do know that Freshers Week 2020 is happening and we want you to be a part of it.

Running from Weds  16th September to at least Sunday 4th October (and perhaps beyond if social distancing is relaxed in a phased way) we need enthusiastic and positive volunteers to help welcome 1st year students to Northumbria and ensure they feel part of the student community that NSU are proud to provide.

We're currently developing our range of virtual events as well as planning how we might socially distance some physical events if permitted. Whilst there are a alot of unknowns at the moment, what we can say for certain is that we will be doing everything we can to make Freshers Week 2020 the most fun possible for our 1st year students and for our volunteers.

In return for volunteering your time (20-50 hours over a 2 week period on a flexible basis depending on your other commitments) you will get free access to all events, great times, new friends and a real boost for your CV.

If you need more persuasion, here's what previous students have said about being involved in Freshers Team:

“Freshers team definitely helped me grow as an individual. The first year I was involved I made new friends who I would now consider family, and the second year I did it I had the chance to lead a team and develop skills that I will now carry for life. If you want to have fun, make friends and also give back and help others all at the same time - then Freshers Team is honestly where it’s at!”
