Welcome to Northumbria and to the Coach Lane campus.

Located just three miles away from City campus, NSU at Coach Lane can be found on the west side of the campus and has its own social space and Welcome Desk. You can come to us for everything from society membership, NUS Extra Card and Newcastle United home match tickets.

What's on at Coach Lane?

Coach Lane is quite unique in its diversity when it comes to students on campus. Home to our Healthcare, Social Work and Education students studying professional based courses, we understand that this can mean juggling seriously hectic schedules and finding a balance between family, friends, studying, placements and having a social life. It’s because of this that we provide a wide range of student activities, including children’s parties, movie nights, afternoon tea and café crawls at both our Coach Lane and City campuses. Of course there are also the more ‘traditional’ events and activities to join in with including: Freshers Week, Karaoke, Habita Quiz, Open Mic Night and the unmissable St Patricks Day.

We’re confident there’s something for everyone at NSU and thanks to the Sabb Team, there’s FREE travel between City campus and Coach Lane on the Stagecoach Number 1 bus.

Here’s a breakdown of the regular activities and services provided at Coach Lane:

Our societies offer a wide range of activities from guest speakers to social events. We also have even more societies based at city campus for you to join, there is everything from dance to drama, running to snow sports. See the full list here. You can join one now or even set up your own!
