Peer Mentoring

Northumbria Students’ Union has launched a brand new Peer Mentoring service with the aim of supporting new students during their transition into Higher Education, and we’re looking for students who could benefit from this fantastic new scheme.

Our trained Peer Mentors will be there to support students on a wide range of issues, whether that’s helping you to extend your social circle and get involved in new activities, helping you develop those academic study skills or signposting you towards the many support services available throughout the University and Students’ Union itself.

Mentees will be assigned to a small mentee group and your involvement in the scheme will consist of both 1-1 meetings with your mentor, and some group-based activities.

If you feel like you could benefit from support from a Peer Mentor, or would like more information about the scheme, email our Student Volunteer Coordinator Kevin Edgar at
