We’re holding a FREE two-day event to help boost your employability; with specialist skills workshops, ideas generation sessions and a chance to win £500 cash, the festival will also include exclusive talks from inspirational leaders (including Olympic swimmer Chris Cook) and an end of year celebration with street food stalls, pop up bars and entertainment.

On Day 1, we’ll be hosting a fun and interactive ideas generation workshop: Solve it! -  Solve an escape room, hear about real-life problems faced by your Students’ Union and develop a solution.

You’ll get the opportunity to learn some key employability skills and meet other like-minded students, keen to get the most out of their university experience. This event will be taking place from 9.30am – 5pm in Reds Bar and lunch will be provided. Please note this is limited to 40 spaces only. This event is now fully subscribed. If you would like to join the waiting list, email su.enquiries@northumbria.ac.uk

Later we’ll be hosting NSU/Talks - Join us for an evening in Reds of fascinating talks themed on the topic of Motivation (7pm – 10pm).

Let us know if you’d be interested in submitting a talk for presentation, as there are three student slots available! Email su.enquiries@northumbria.ac.uk to submit yours today.

On Day 2, we’re bringing you a conference where you’ll hear from our brilliant key-note speakers local Olympian, Chris Cook and Lisa Goodwin, the Deputy Chief Executive of Vonne (Voluntary Organisations’ Network North East).

All of this will be alongside workshops from the Northumbria University Careers service who can work with you to enhance your career prospects. This will take place from 12:30-5pm in Escape and the Training Rooms. Sign up here if you’re interested in attending.

To conclude the festival (and term) in style, we’re putting on a fantastic End of Year Celebration, featuring a BBQ and Prosecco bar on Habita’s sun terrace, street food stalls on the quad.
