Our Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training is delivered by our Student Wellbeing and Resilience Manager, Chrissy Watt who is an approved MHFA England Instructor.

We are pleased to offer the training via online and in person formats.

Whichever format you book, you must attend and complete all times/dates within that course in order to pass and qualify as a Mental Health First Aider.

The training is open to ALL current Northumbria Students. If you are living outside of the UK there may be additional charges to cover postage of the course materials.

Normally priced at £300 per delegate, the course has been heavily subsidised by your Students’ Union giving you the chance to complete it for just £30*

Online Training

Our online MHFA training uses a bespoke online platform and blends live delivery with individual learning.

It typically takes 10-15hrs for a learner to complete the course. The live sessions are facilitated by our MHFA Instructor and take place on 4 specific days at set times for up to 2.5 hours each. We aim to vary the days/times we offer this training to be as accessible as possible to as many students as possible.

All 4 live sessions per course must be attended and all individual learning must be completed in order to pass and qualify as a Mental Health First Aider

Your training materials are provided and will be shipped directly to you so we will ask for your postal address so this can be arranged.
