Perhaps you've never heard of yoga or have always wanted to try it. We're a society who strives to help you find calm during term time, meet new people and transport you to various corners of the earth. There is no need to be flexible or strong, yoga is for anyone and you can adapt your practice to your own abilities or aims! Northumbria Yoga Society runs 2 regular sessions a week for all abilities.
Wednesdays | STAGE 2, City Campus | Conrad | 6:00 – 7:30pm
Fridays | STAGE 2, City Campus |Vicky | 5:00 – 6:00 pm
Sundays | NORTHERN POLE DANCE, Newcastle city centre | Sisi | 1pm – 2pm
We also run additional taster sessions so you can try out different types of yoga. These may include forest yoga, acro balance with help from our friends at Circus Central and Astanga which is a little more challenging! These will be advertised as and when they are organised and the cost will depend on how much funding we get throughout the year.
Membership is £3 which you can pay at the welcome desk or at the side of this page. Regular sessions are £2 for members and £3 for non-members which you pay to a committee member at each session.
> Vicky teaches our Hatha sessions every Friday. This is the standard type of yoga which is relaxing but also builds core strength.
> Conrad is a Forest, mindful and yin instructor which is usually a fun but harder session complete with partner work.
Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for regular updates, room changes, class styles and socials.
