About Us

Have you been dancing since you were wee? Or are you interested in trying something new? No matter your experience or background, we would love to welcome you to Irish Dance!

You can join us for fun in any of our classes, or you can perform with us! If you'd like to perform with us regular attendance at our Tuesday classes is encouraged so you don't miss out on our show dances.

Here at NSU Irish Dance, we'll be working regularly with Newcastle Irish Dance for community events, such as care home performances, volunteering with local groups, and the occasional flash mob! This will build up to the end of year show 'Treble on the Tyne' where you can show off what you've learnt throughout the year in the multi-night performance.

As well as classes and performances, we have a variety of socials lined up for you, including nights out, pizza and games night, and some virtual events! ***COVID-19: Our socials will be a little different for the time-being, however we're working on virtual socials for you!***

Our membership price includes all classes throughout the year, and any show costumes.

All members will have access to a private YouTube channel where steps from each class will be uploaded.

Your safety is very important to us, and we're in constant contact with NSU to make sure all of our activities are safe for you and following government guidelines. We'll update you regularly, and ensure that everyone can attend whatever class they want. For term one, all of our classes and socials will take place online. The links for these sessions will be given to members the day they are due to take place.

Follow us on Facebook for updates! Members of the society will be invited to join a private group for updates on socials, class locations, and other important information.
