About Us

"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."  Martin Luther King, Jr.

Through our academic life, Northumbria University Friends of Palestine is primarily concerned with having contribution to promoting justice for Palestine through awareness-raising, advocacy and cultural events in Newcastle. We also aim to increase student engagement in issues relating to Palestine through talks, socio-cultural events and provision of resources. Speaking for those who are voiceless, we hope our university character moves forward beyond just as academic one, bringing a real impact to have better society for all. Palestinian or not, Palestine is the symbol of the ones who care about justice and better life for all.

Our society is an opportunity to simply listen, learn and understand those in distress, and hopefully to lead our efforts for healing wounds and retrieving human dignity.

We would be very pleased to count on your participation and receiving your ideas and support. Thanks in advance.
