About Us

Northumbria University’s First Computer Society. We have the privilege to associate ourselves with the British Computer Society. With this in mind we have the ability to network not just with other like minded students but with other Professionals within the BCS.

As a member of this society you can keep up with our Socials, Academic Events and our End of Year Ball. 


Northumbria Universitys BCS Chapter 

The aims & objectives BCS Student Chapter are:

  • Provide and promote engaging and academically supportive activities and events for students at your university with an interest in computing.
  • Establish a professional network between the chapter, BCS member groups and relevant external bodies for the benefit of chapter members.
  • To gain knowledge and understanding of the IT industry through guest speakers, events and networking opportunities.
  • Increase awareness and enhance the profile of the BCS chapter within the University and the wider community.
