What is WILD (Women in Leadership)?

Our Women in leadership programme aims to create a network marginalised genders feel empowered and confident. It’s an opportunity to discover your leadership identity and develop key skills that will support you with your future goals and plans.

WILD offers a two-session training programme, available online to all students and alumni. This covers key leadership skills such as

- Self-Awareness

- Goal Setting

- Imposter Syndrome

- Leadership styles

After completing this training, you have the option of applying for a staff mentor. This is an NSU member of staff within the students’ union who provides six one to one personalised mentoring sessions to help you reach your goals.

Alongside this, we also organise activities throughout the year, such as online events and our WILD conference and week, scheduled for March 2021. This aims to connect you with professionals and employers to hear their career experience and journey.

Who is WILD for?

Our programme is here to support marginalised genders at Northumbria and all students and alumni can access our training or events.
