Sabbatical, Student Executive and NUS Conference Elections 2019

Our annual leadership elections - these are your chance to stand to lead your Students' Union for the next academic year and choose the students who speak for you. Sabbatical Officers or ‘Sabbs’ are the leaders of NSU. These students are elected to a paid role in which they run your Students' Union for a year. Sabbs will either be graduating this year or take a year out of their studies. They sit on Student Executive and the Board of Trustees and are responsible for ensuring strong student leadership of NSU. They are also the lead representatives of Northumbria students and speak to the University, City Council and local and national organisations to make sure the voice of students is heard. Part-time Officers and Equality Officers are elected by students, and play a key role in campaigning for a better University and a fairer experience for all students. These volunteer representatives are members of Student Executive and speak up to ensure the voice of the students they represent is heard loud and clear across campus. National Union of Students Conference Delegates represent all Northumbria students at the National Conference of the national union. They make sure the voice of Northumbria students is heard in setting the policy of our national union, and in electing its leadership.

Nominations close at 12:00 on Friday 8 February 2019 (in 8 weeks and 0 days)
