NSU is a democratic, student-led organisation. Every year we elect the students who lead us, and all registered Northumbria students are eligible to stand for one of our leadership roles and to vote in the elections.
Our elected opportunities provide students with a chance to make a difference to their Union and University, and to stand up for students at Northumbria. They also give incredible leadership experience and skills to boost your future career.
From Monday 4th December nominations are open in our elections for Sabbatical Officers, Student Councillors and Equality Reps. We'd encourage all students to think about these amazing opportunities. The Sabbatical Officer role is one of the best grad job in the world with a salary starting at £18,000 a year and the opportunity to lead a multi-million pound campaigning organisation.
These pages contain information on our elections process and we hope they are helpful to you. We’d also love to hear from you if you might be interested in leading the Students’ Union. These are amazing opportunities and you can always come to see us about them in the Students’ Union on any Northumbria campus, or by emailing any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
