Looking for Programme Rep Elections?
Due to the ongoing IT incident, we have had to postpone Programme Rep elections by two weeks.
Students will be able to nominate themselves to become a Programme Rep at mynsu.co.uk/programmereps between 5th and 9th October*.
Students can then anonymously vote for who they would like to represent them at mynsu.co.uk/programmereps between 12th and 23rd October*.
*Please note, due to the ongoing IT issues, these dates may change
Speak up for students and lead your Students’ Union!
NSU is a democratic, student-led organisation. Every year we elect the students who lead us, and all registered Northumbria students are eligible to stand for one of our leadership roles and to vote in the elections.
Whether that’s becoming a Programme Rep for your course, a member of our Student Council, a delegate for the annual NUS Conference or even leading NSU as a full-time Sabbatical Officer, there are plenty of roles you may be eligible to run for.
Our elected opportunities provide students with a chance to make a difference to their Union and University, and to stand up for students at Northumbria. They also give incredible leadership experience and skills to boost your future career.
These pages contain information on our elections process, and we hope they are helpful to you. We’d also love to hear from you if you might be interested in running for an election, please email email@example.com with any queries.
Our bye-election for our vacant Student Council positions will be held in Semester 1 (dates TBC). Find out more about Student Council and our vacancies here.
Nominations for Sabbatical, Student Council and NUS Conference positions open during our annual Student Elections in Semester 2. Check back at this page throughout the year to stay updated on when you can nominate yourself for a role.
